Morning Raga

A cold wave hit my feet. I was not awake and was very comfortable in that situation. Cold wave did not let me concentrate on the warmth I was enjoying inside the quilt. I started to hear the sounds in the street. “Oh god why they have to be so sporty in this cozy morning”. I tried to sleep and regain the situation I was enjoying. Buwa, as usual was doing his puja and I could heard every bit he was chanting. I was even imagining what he may be doing at the moment. I was half awake as my mind was working actively while the body was not cooperating .It was so warm inside the bed that I did not dare to peep outside it. Outside the window was early morning fog and I could smell that in the room. I just hate to remember the idea to wake up and go office. Road, traffics, dusty road, never ending buses and bikes. At the very moment I was using my energy to get off the bed, I remembered that today was Saturday. You could not imagine how happy I was to know the fact that I don’t have to go office today. Alexander would not have slept that well in his bed like I did after confirming the fact. Though my eye was closed and looked asleep, mind was running like a bullet train. Office works, applications to send, reports to prepare, Sunday assignments, next week post office clearance and thousands pending jobs ruined my morning kingship. Mobile alarm just at the right time breaks the chains of official thoughts.

Every day after having a job, I wish to have a perfect day where there is no complication and no due work. I wanted to architect my day doing the things I wish to do and that’s to very perfectly. This idea was always near to ideal. What I am saying is I want to live one day which I feel is the most ideal way. With closed eyes I make sure that today will be the day I was hoping for. Conforming the fact, the first thing I have to do was to get up from the bed and have a nice hot bath. No matter how hard I tried and with thousands ideal quotes of being an ideal man, I could not open my eyes and dare to come out of bed. Still my eye closed, I challenged my confidence but all in vain. All the nice things and ideal ideas were nothing against the warmth of my bed. As always I started to think how useless I am who could not left his bed to start a perfect new day.

All these happened and buwa finished his puja. I could hear him talking to aama and was asking about me. He came to my room and saw what I was doing. I was sleeping very nice and buwa could not find hint of restlessness in my face. He did not wake me up and told aama I was sleeping. I was hearing everything.

I gathered the confidence and opened my eyes. It was sunny outside and clock was clicking 9 in the morning. As a Saturday morning sleeper, I closed my eyes again and want to recreate the sleeping environment. I could not. Taking my mobile I listened a song that was on pause yesterday night. Aama came with a cup of tea and woke me up. Lazily I got up. Seeing people outside the window make me feel that everything in the world is going well. No one is taking life lazily the way I am .Small tea shop was open and the owner was busy making tea a with a big grin in his face. His wife half to his size and age was cleaning the dishes. They both look happy and fine. People are laughing and talking politics as is going on. Seeing them I feel it’s time to start my day on a bright note. With no hesitance and no laziness, I got off the bed and came outside. Early morning sun was shining bright clearing the fog that was there an hour ago. I could smell the freshness of the light. I am planning to spend my day ideally. Let’s see I will have my one ideal Saturday today or not :)
